Case Study: Online Self-Assessment at EAH Jena
The Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, with its approximately 450 employees and 4,500 students, has been the largest and most research-intensive university of applied sciences in Thuringia for several years. The EAH is characterized by a high practical relevance and has a large network to the economy, science and society. The range of studies covers the fields of technology, economics, social sciences and health.
Since 1998, ALPHA-TEST has been supporting prospective students in their choice of study program with subject-specific online self-assessments (OSAs), which are currently available for 10 study programs. The aim of the self-assessment is to reflect the strengths of the prospective students and to identify any need to catch up. In this way, candidates are optimally prepared for their studies.
Through the mixture of study-relevant information, self-exploration measures, tests and feedback, the prospective students are given a realistic picture of the Ernst-Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, the study requirements and the professional possibilities.
